Inside the EMIN + PAUL Handcraft Studio
At the heart of Emin & Paul lies a deep-rooted commitment to craftsmanship—an ethos that has remained steadfast since the brand’ s inception. Every piece is thoughtfully crafted by hand, with time and precision at the core of the process. Nestled in the heart of Greenwich, London, the Emin & Paul Handcraft Studio is the creative and production hub of the brand. Here, leather bags and belts are meticulously handmade, while bespoke wooden furniture for the stores is carefully constructed. More than just a workspace, this studio is the beating heart of the brand—where artistry and identity come to life.

Emin & Paul’s journey began with a simple yet exquisitely hand-stitched hairband. First introduced at Spitalfields Market in Shoreditch, London, this small creation quickly became a signature piece—one that continues to be crafted as part of the collection today. Modest yet distinctive, the original hand-stitched hairband captivated many with its unique design, earning a place as one of the brand’s en -during icons. Over time, the collection expanded to include clothing, bags, and furniture, yet the Emin & Paul approach has remained unchanged. Handcrafting naturally comes with its own set of challenges—limited production quantities and higher costs—but for Emin & Paul, these are not obstacles; they are integral to the brand’s philosophy. To them, craftsmanship is not just a method of production. It is the very process through which countless ideas and inspirations from the designer’s subconscious are brought to life through the hands. Each piece, shaped by touch, carries a unique vitality—an irreplaceable quality that no machine could replicate. Through this meticulous process, Emin & Paul create collections defined by refined silhouettes, intricate details, and a quiet yet undeniable presence. These values extend far beyond the products themselves—they are the foundation upon which the brand continues to thrive.

Currently, the studio is preparing a new series of leather bags for the upcoming season. Each piece, shaped and refined through the hands of the designers, continues to deepen the narrative of the brand. Emin & Paul believe that craftsmanship is the very reason their products resonate with people. It is through this philosophy — observing, imagining, and ultimately realising — that Emin & Paul will continue to craft meaningful objects, allowing the brand’s unique language to endure. Emin & Paul also brings this spirit of craftsmanship into the customer experience. From the very first encounter, the brand offers a tailoring and alteration service design ed to accommodate the unique silhouettes of each individual. This service has already become an integral part of the London stores and will soon be available in Korea.
