London-based / effortless style / high-quality since 2010, by Emin Young and Paul Kim

We have set out to establish ourselves as a British fashion label which is reflected through our contemporary, clever-cut collections that exude flare and femininity. We aspire to emphasise the beauty of women and highlight femininity with deliberate details. Our aim is to create garments that are perfectly balanced in an attentive and fully justified way. Beginning with the big, bold, and bright, we soften through careful colour, cuts and cloth. Each detail has substance, meaning. Nothing forgotten, everything considered.

Emin, who studied womenswear in London, was absorbed by the beauty of femininity. She was encapsulated by Paul’s bold, sculptural artworks. Both were strongly fascinated by each other’s contrasting philosophies.

STORES

Brilliant locations with a secure long lease and protected intellectual property give EMIN + PAUL an advantage in the marketplace.

KING'S CROSS

The first shop is located in Coal Drops Yard, just a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross St Pancras International station, lead us to another path of business.

This space has a great Victorian heritage with innovative architectural developments.

In recent years it has been transformed into a large shopping complex for locals and visitors that houses an eclectic mix of well-established brands with small independent boutiques and buzzy eateries.

Alongside carefully curated brands, from Paul Smith, Wolf & Badger and Margaret Howell, to COS and Rains; Coal Drops Yard is a unique retail experience, with EMIN + PAUL at its core.

COVENT GARDEN

Our second shop in Covent Garden is located in the heart of London and attracts various locals as well as tourists.

Covent Garden is now one of London’s largest tourist attractions, with a piazza that hosts craft stalls and street performers, and surrounded by luxury fashion and beauty stores, award-winning restaurants and theatres, this area is buzzing with energy with an ambience that can’t be beaten.

SOHO

One of the most vibrant areas in London, in the heart of the West End, Soho is known for its nightlife, shopping and restaurants. A top theatre and live music destination with bookshops, bakeries and art galleries dotted in between, Soho has established itself as one of the most lively and diverse areas in the city centre.

Notable nearby hot spots include Ronnie Scotts (one of the most famous live jazz venues in the world), Kingly Court (made up of around twenty different restaurants with an outdoor seating area, home to popular eateries such as Dishoom, Shoryu and The Good Egg), and Carnaby Street (a go-to destination to celebrate festivals and special events where banners and lights are hung across the street).

With Regent Street and Oxford Street at the edges of Soho, it has remained one of the biggest shopping destinations in the country, with Selfridges and Liberty at its core, and has millions of tourists visiting each year. You can find EMIN + PAUL on Beak Street, located between Regent Street and Carnaby Street.

FURNITURE

Each of the three EMIN + PAUL store interiors are designed and crafted by Paul Kim.

In keeping with the natural and organic theme throughout, Paul hand-cuts each plywood piece to create a bespoke installation that is simultaneously unique and timeless. With a focus on strength, clean lines, and soft finishings, wooden backdrops for each store highlight the beauty of simplicity and the importance of earthly materials, which mirror the garments perfectly as cottons and linens hang adjacent.

PRODUCTION

Quality fabric is one of our strongest assets. We source linen from Japan, organic linen from Korea, wool and cashmere from Italy, and silk from Europe. Sourcing materials from a limited number of suppliers allows us to focus on high-quality materials with minimal environmental impact. All our product is made in Seoul, capital city of South Korea.
